Dr. Martin Scott-Pascall is a celebrated figure in the Afro-Caribbean arts community, particularly

known for his leadership as the Artistic Director of the Dance Caribe Performing Company in

Toronto. As the founder and director, he created a platform for dancers to explore their heritage

through choreography, costume design, and performance bridging traditional rhythms with

modern storytelling.

He has served as a Special Education Teacher with the Toronto District School Board,

combining his passion for the arts with a dedication to student development.

His work has earned him significant accolades, including recognition alongside cultural icons

like "Miss Lou" (Louise Bennett-Coverley) for his lifetime achievement in the arts. In 2025, Dr.

Martin Scott-Pascall earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Performing Arts and Culture,

recognizing decades of leadership in preserving and advancing Caribbean performing arts. His

work continues to inspire audiences while mentoring the next generation of artists throughout
